Within the space of eight days, two valued members of our organization departed this life unexpectedly. We will greatly miss Tim Whitman and Joyce Benge. We send our sincere condolences to the families of both of these fine people. (More details follow.)

OAOA was there! ... at the Cox Center in Oklahoma City when the Oklahoma Municipal League held its Conference September 23 - 25. Having an exhibit there allowed for OAOA members to meet new city officials and airport managers from around the state and to explain the benefits of OAOA membership.
Most had no idea that the dues are as low as they are and that those dues include, among other things, the following:
1. OAOA Annual Conference
Registration included for at least one representative (number depends on classification)
Education and Training
Networking with other Airport Management Professionals
Meals at conferenceEducation and Training
Even if you do not manage an airport, own or fly a plane or have not even visited an airport lately, if you use Oklahoma airport services in any way - even indirectly, you need to be aware of what Victor Bird, Director, Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission, shared at the OAOA Quarterly Meeting on July 16.
The following is quoted, with Mr. Bird's permission, from an email he sent just prior to that July 16 meeting.
