PAULS VALLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

            Pauls Valley reports traffic and fuel sales as being steady

CLINTON-SHERMAN AIRPORT

            Clinton-Sherman reports being busy and is trying to make arrangements where they can attend the O.A.O.A. meetings.

HALLIBURTON FIELD AIRPORT – DUNCAN

            Halliburton Field reports that traffic is steady

Lawton-Fort Sill
            Lawton-Fort Sill reports their SRE building is complete.

They will have bid openings on July 21st for a new fire station, also a bid opening for a runway Joint & Crack Seal,
paint project the same day.

 

April 18, 2016

    PAULS VALLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Pauls Valley is having a fund raiser for a fallen Police Officer on the 1st weekend in May.  Details to be posted on the OAOA website.

  • LAWTON/FORT SILL REGIONAL AIRPORT

They have completed a wildlife fencing project and are in the final design phase for an SRE Building and an ARFF Station. Also, the installation of the backup generator for the terminal is complete.

  • HADDOCK FIELD AIRPORT

Haddock in now offering flight lessons with Ricky Lester.

  • DAVID JAY PERRY AIRPORT

David Jay Perry is constructing ten new hangars and aprons. This project is 20% complete. They are also building a new terminal which is 70% complete.

  • CHICKASHA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

The Chickasha Airport is in the planning phase for emergency repairs on historic WWII Hangar # 4 in order to maintain the structure due to flooding.The repair scope and amount will be determined soon.Hangar #4 is where the Chickasha Wings Flight School is located.

The airport recently re-acquired the approximately 15,000 sq. ft. Airport Armory on the field. Staff plans to use the area as a community gathering place and for airport events. The Airport has a fly in scheduled for Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 10am to 2pm. Advertisement to follow.

  • CLINTON-SHERMAN AIRPORT

Clinton-Sherman has a 5 year agreement with the Air Force for training, which will bring their operations numbers up to 30,000 per year. They are also renting two hangars to Government agencies.

  • HOBART REGIONAL AIRPORT

Hobart in the process of resurfacing the north end of the taxi way and runway.

  • SCOTT FIELD AIRPORT

Scott Field is in the process of a crack/seal project on the runway and apron.They have also purchased a new beacon.
 

January 2016

  • FREDERICK REGIONAL AIRPORT

Fredrick is hosting their WWII jump school, which in progress. The Open House is Saturday and the public is invited.

     They are starting a taxiway crack/seal project.

  • PAULS VALLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Pauls Valley is starting another runway patch project this month.

  • ALTUS/QUARTZ MOUNTAIN REGIONAL AIRPORT

Altus reports that they finished a perimeter fence project.

  • LAWTON/FORT SILL REGIONAL AIRPORT

Lawton reports that they are completing a year-long runway lighting project lighting project.

They have almost completed a wildlife fencing project and are in the final design phase for an SRE Building and an ARFF Station. Also, the installation of the backup generator for the terminal is almost complete.

  • HINTON AIRPORT

Hinton reports that they have completed a runway lighting project and a new hangar apron.

  • PURCELL AIRPORT

Purcell reports they are 65% of the way through a parallel taxiway project funded by the FAA.

  • DAVID JAY PERRY AIRPORT

David Jay Perry is constructing ten new hangars and aprons. They are also building a new terminal which is expected to be complete in six months.


October 2015

  • CHICKASHA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Reports that Olsson Associates is designing the Airport Road update for the road between
Hwy 81 and the Airport Industrial Park.

CES, is designing the update for Commander and Beechcraft roads leading from
Airport Road to the Airport Terminal.

  •   FREDERICK REGIONAL AIRPORT

Reports they are doing a runway overlay and will be closed down for 6 months.

  • PAULS VALLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Reports that the Antique Aircraft Association will be hosting a Fly In and Lunch the first
Saturday of every month.  They just completed a runway rehabilitation project last month.

  • ALTUS / QUARTZ MOUNTAIN REGIONAL AIRPORT

Reports that they are starting a Perimeter Fence Project.  The fence will cover 12,000 ft. and be 6 ft., tall
SW Vo-Tech, Fly In and Safety Meeting will be this Saturday and everyone is welcome.

They also reported that they had a lighting strike last month that took down everything,
But they are back up and running.

  • CLINTON – SHERMAN AIRPORT

Reported that they purchased a BUGATTI 100P airplane.  They have had visitors from all over the world to view it.

  • LAWTON / FORT SILL REGIONAL AIRPORT

Reports that they are completing a year-long runway lighting project and the addition of the hold room restroom is complete.

The years grant includes a wildlife fencing project and the final design phase for an SRE Building

and an ARFF Station.  They are also installing a backup generator for the terminal.

  • HINTON AIRPORT

Reports that they are winding down from their soaring season and they are starting
a R/W lighting project.

  • LINSAY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

Reports that they are starting a chip & seal project and the R/W will be closed from Oct. 27 thru Nov. 20.

 

July 2015

CHICKASHA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
They are also waiting for funding for Taxiway rehab, Runway lights and additional Hangars.

·    FREDERICK REGIONAL AIRPORT
Is having an open house this Saturday.
Boogie Baby is out of commission for the July Jump School but they have rented another C-47 for the occasion.  They will also have a special speaker that was in one of the Japanese internment camps during WWII.

·    PURCELL MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Starting a $ 400,000 project to rehab Taxiway, Apron and Access road to future Hangars in July.

·    PAULS VALLEY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
The first Saturday of every month the Antique Aircraft Association has a Fly-In and lunch.  
They will be starting a Runway rehab project in February, funded by OAC.

·    ALTUS/QUARTZ MOUNTAIN REGIONAL AIRPORT
Will be using the 2015 Grant from the FAA for a Perimeter Fence Project this summer.

·    GOLDSBY-DAVIS JAY PERRY AIRPORT
Won an award from the Concrete Association for their Parallel Taxiway      Project.

·    LAWTON/FORT SILL REGIONAL AIRPORT
Have a Runway Lighting project and an Airside Restroom Project,  
currently in progress.
